These
pictures were taken by a Canadian Snubber in Iran. He was working on
a nearby rig, snubbing on a live well. The same Iranian NOC, was running
both rigs. They had the same well control problems on both wells, but
decided running 2 snubbing units was too expensive, so opted not to
sunb out of hole on the well that blew out. They went pipe light, and
to solve the problem, started bullheading kill mud into the annulus!
No one was injured in the incident. |
